FASTEST FILL. ZERO SPILL
Why Tuff Jug?
Stops When It's Full
The auto-stop spout shuts off on its own the moment your tank is full. No watching, no guessing, no overflow.
Zero Spills
Nothing pours until the spout is seated, so every drop goes in the tank and not on your machine, your hands, or the ground.
Made in the USA
Designed and manufactured in America, with the quality control that comes from building it here.
Built for Hard Use
Race days, ranch work, weekends on the water. Tuff Jug is made to be hauled, tossed in the truck bed, and used season after season.
Quick Questions
Which cap fits my tank?
The Auto-Stop Spout fits top-load and side-load tanks with openings around 1.0". The Ripper Cap is for top-load tanks only, with openings 1.5" or larger.
How does it know when to stop?
An internal vent runs through the handle. When your tank is full, back-pressure cuts the flow. No floats and no external vents.
How fast does it pour?
The Ripper Cap empties a 5 gallon jug in 50 seconds or less. The Auto-Stop Spout does it in 60 seconds or less.
What sizes and colors can I get?
Three sizes: 5 gallon, 2.5 gallon, and 1.25 gallon. Jugs come in 11 colors, so you can color-code one per machine or one per crew.
What is it made of, and where?
Every jug is multi-layer HDPE, made in Idaho.
Which Cap Is Right for Me?
Auto-Stop fits almost anything. Ripper Cap is faster but only made for top-load tanks. Match the cap to your tank.

Great can works even better than I anticipated!! Thanks
just got these tuff jugs and pretty impressed with the size and quality of the product. Ordering was easy and shipping was fast just filled them up and can't wait to put them to good use .
I haven’t had the chance to put them to use yet, I’ve filled them.c very easy to fill for sure. I tested one with water to see how well the stop function worked and it worked better than advertised, I see the safety in going down 3” but it actually stopped if 1/2” below the surface of the water. The only negative feedback I would give, is some built in finger holds on the bottom would help with initially turning over the jug, especially for the more physically strength challenged out there.
Works as described. No issues as of yet. Thanks for a good product 👍🏻👍🏻
Great quality and workmanship 👍
Love these things the handle is in a great spot and the flow is fast and controllable. Definitely recommended

Store owner replied: Thank you for such thoughtful feedback! It’s great to hear that everything from the ergonomics and included accessories to the packaging made a positive impression. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience!
Love all my Tuff Jugs. The only improvement I would suggest, for us older folks, would be the incorporation of a bottom of the jug handle on the 5 gallon model, that would aide us in lifting the heavy jugs when full. Also an adapter would be handy so the VP Trigger spouts could be used with the Tuff Jugs, or come out with a trigger spout of your own.
Store owner replied: We love hearing that you’ve been enjoying all of your Tuff Jugs! These are some great suggestions, especially the additional handle for easier lifting and a trigger-style spout option. We’ll be sure to pass your ideas along to our team—we really appreciate the thoughtful feedback!

Its everything they claim it is. In an age of very poorly designed, hard to use, environmental gas cans, Tuff Jug is a design that doesn't overkill AND is easy to use. Eventually all my gas storage will use Tuff Jugs!
Store owner replied: Sounds like Tuff Jug has earned a permanent spot in your lineup! 🙌 We’re glad the simple, easy-to-use design is delivering exactly what you hoped for. We’ll be ready when it’s time to add a few more!
Auto stop is awesome and I like side handle
Store owner replied: Two of our favorite features! 🙌 Glad the Auto-Stop and side handle are making your Tuff Jug easy and convenient to use!
I've only used it once and worked as advertised.
Store owner replied: Off to a great start! 🙌 Glad your first use went smoothly and your Tuff Jug delivered exactly as expected!
They just work, the ripper caps are the greatest, I have two five gallon, three 2 1/2 Gallon and two 1 1/4 gallon. The ripper caps do not leak if they turn over. A great way to fill tanks fast and I'll throw away all the government garbage. And I had a problem with three caps ,tough jug sent new ones ,it did take about a month and half. Little slow but they stood by their products . Hands down best in town. I fill tractor lawnmower SXS and motorcycles they need a spout for power saws now.
Store owner replied: Now that’s a Tuff Jug lineup! 🙌 We’re glad the different sizes and Ripper Caps have become your go-to setup for so much of your equipment. We also appreciate your patience while our team handled those replacement caps—and we hear you on wanting an option for smaller equipment!

I’ve been in landscaping business for 43 years. I have never and I mean never seen or used a better gas can in my lifetime. I bought one to try it out and came right back about a month and a half later and bought three more it is the best jug on the market. It’s great for when you have to just take the pick up to the gas station. They sit nice in the bed. They don’t roll over they don’t spill absolute wonderful product you guys made.
Store owner replied: 43 years in the landscaping business makes this an incredible compliment—thank you! 🙌 The fact that you tried one and came back for three more means a lot to our team. We’re proud to have Tuff Jug riding along in your truck and helping make the workday a little easier!
